Bulgaria Rainbow Pyrite

Note: $60 per piece, does not come in a set.

Pyrite often forms in sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks, and it can occur in a variety of geological environments worldwide. It is frequently found in association with other minerals such as quartz, calcite, and various sulfides. Pyrite can occur as individual crystals, aggregates, or as disseminated grains within host rocks.

While pyrite is often mistaken for gold due to its yellow color and metallic appearance, it is significantly less valuable. It has a hardness of 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively hard but still susceptible to scratching and damage. Pyrite has a high specific gravity and is notably heavier than most other minerals of similar size.

Metaphysically, pyrite is associated with energy, abundance, and protection. It is believed to have a grounding and protective energy, shielding against negative energies and promoting vitality and confidence. Pyrite is also associated with manifestation and wealth, often used in crystal healing practices to attract abundance and prosperity.
